Change is constant, inevitable, and all around us. How do we lead in times of change? When changes are needed, how do we galvanize a coalition? How can we recognize our own power to lead? In Rewriting History, Barry tells the story of a teacher, three high school students, and a dynamic newspaperman bringing about justice in a 41-year-old crime. The movie Mississippi Burning was based on this triple murder. Barry created and led a diverse group that helped persuade the State of Mississippi to reopen the country's most notorious cold case - a case that was closed with the conviction of an unrepentant Ku Klux Klan leader. It was Barry Bradford who persuaded the Klan leader to allow Barry to interview him. It was the only interview the man had given before or since. It was a decision he would come to regret. Your audiences remember the messages Barry shares as he weaves the tale of these unlikely sleuths. It's an empowering message of everyday American citizens lobbying Congress, uncovering new evidence and witnesses, rallying public support, and changing history.
